At the first information evening, when the project and the artist were presented to the public, some 180 students attended. The following week, all students were asked to submit their suggestions.
A smaller group of students then continued working on the project by helping with the general planning and also in the artistic execution.

It was not easy to reconcile the ideas and aims of the artist, of the school and of the students, yet in spite of initial problems there was a general draught plan ready within three weeks, which was then realised as a mural in a comparatively short time.
