To whom belongs the world? Rio + 10 , large public mural paintings in Johannesburg - Berlin - Havanna 10 years after the worldconference for environment and developement in Rio, Farbfieber plans a new artistic proyect in 3 capitals. Teams of artists from all continents are going to paint large murals together at central places of those 3 towns. Murals, which result from the dialogue of different cultures. These works of art require of political gouvernments to extend themselves for effective, fair and social developement. The world is not the casino for global players and speculators. Therefore the discussion about future has to begin on an other level. Thatfore we need creativity and ideas from people all over the world. Mural painting is a public art, which communicates with the public, neighbours and passers-by. Local initiatives are included in the process of developement via discussions, meetings, action and other events. In all the 3 towns public, creative centers will come into being, in which people reflect about future and speak not about the others but with eachother. The artists from 5 continents will present 6 weeks. They will explain there sight of view, and begin an exchange in order to create a joint artistic act, which refect this process. Murals can change cities for years by their presence and bring new ideas into heads.International ones are symbols for common living and working. Berlin: Especially the rich industrial countries have to think different. There one can find most of the reasons for the condition the world is in, like changes of climate, waste of recources and destructive finance speculation. Johannesburg: In 2002 gouvernments of 170 states meet for the sucessionconference of Rio in Southafrica. In all areas: Environment - social questions / fight against poverty - economical equality the situation there has bcome worse. In Southafrica the first mural will rise. Habanna: Cuba tries to go its own way. Therefore it is a good place to think about alternatives. Supporters wanted! The project now is in its phase of planning . Farbfieber is on its way to bring together an international team of artists. but we still are looking for more artists, ideal and financial support, and contact to Ngo´s in all the 3 capitals! Also we are looking for big public walls and organisatoric help.
