The project was well accepted by the residents and the city, which is quite different in comparison to other cities in Germany. It has been taken as an honour to be the second city after Porto Alegre, which contributes to the worldwide mural project. The first night the mayor invited the artists; she gave a reception at her own house. Here they met many people with a cultural or political background. The next Saturday the city library was the place for a public presentation and an exhibition of murals in Germany.

The artists held lectures and showed slides of recently painted murals at places like schools, the faculty and the house of the farmworkers union. They discussed with hundreds of students about the agenda 21 and about the central ideas of the campaign. There were interviews, too, and the artists were invited sometimes just to eat and to drink and to talk.

The composite mural displays many details: In the centre and over the house edges there is a face showing its face courses made out of different ethnical groups incorporating culture and education. It also shows the gap between urban and rural life and the gap between poor and rich. Three pigs lay upside down and stand for corruption, speculation and exploitation, symbolising insanity and craziness of our world.

Inaugracion

Further details are the culture against violence and right extremism as well as fruits made of concrete, which stand for the pure natural wealth.
There was much interaction with people for instance discussions with pedestrians or school classes. Students often came to visit the mural and gave helping hands during the preparation of the wall.

On the evening of the inauguration celebration a truck blocked the street and many people, even the bishop and councillors, celebrated together with a Foho, a typical traditional music group.
