The MURAL depicts the Enviroment as it should be. Bright sunlight is the background color for the entire mural, except for the cool color of the lower right side where animals and plants that live underwaterare illustrated.

The hand holds the bouquet of flowers that reflects the beauty and abundance thatnature offers.

The red veins meandering across the mural are the rivers that give us both nourishment and leisurely sport activity

The Washington Post with a third page on Abe Graber
The indian tribes livedthroughout our country. That is the way way I wish torepresent the Indian American as a large ant dominant head. Next are four potraits - an Afro-American, Hispanic, Asian and Caucasian.

Depicted are the Butterfly, Crow, Polar Bear, Whooping Crane, Seal, Fish, Whale and Dolphin representing all the other animals.

Thr Nuts and Bolts are a metaphor uniting us to nature. They are alsoan expression for getting things done.

Designs were painted at the bottom of the mural by mentally impairedclients of the Art and Drama Therapy Institute, on whose wall the mural was painted.

WE NEED TO FIND WAYS TO PROGRESS WITHOUT INFLICTING AN INJURY TO NATURE. BURNING OF BITUMINOUS COAL CAUSES ACID RAIN. WE MUST STOP RELEASING MERCURY AND LEAD INTO RIVERS AND LAKES. OCEANS ARE BECOMING A POISONED WATERY GRAVE.

WE NEED TO ELECT LEGISLATORS WHO ARE WHOLLY SUPPORTIVE OF PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT NATIONALLY AND GLOBALLY TO MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE FOR THOSE WHO ARE SOCIALLY AND ECONOMICALLY EXCLUDED AND TO MAKE IT A PEACEFUL WORLD FOR ALL BY FULLFILLING THE GOAL OF AGENDA 21.
